Nelda D. Blackstock Rouse, age 68, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, after an extended illness.
She retired from the bone marrow transplant unit at the VA Hospital of Nashville, Tenn., after 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all.
Nelda ws preceded in death by her father and mother, Ernest and Estelle Blackstock, and son, Frankie Albright.
She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Rouse, Sr.; daughter, Donnell (Greg) Bretherick; stepdaughter, Robin (Michael) Sims; stepsons, Stephen (Shari) Rouse Jr., and Michael Rouse; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; great-aunt, Mary; three brothers and sisters-in-law; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and devoted friends.
Visitation with the family is 1-7 p.m. today at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, Tenn. 37216.
Funeral services will be 10:30 Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Dalewood United Methodist Church, 2300 Ridgecrest Drive, Nashville, Tenn. 37216, with Brian Rossbert officiating. Entombment will follow at Spring Hill Mausoleum.
