Mrs. Nelda “Aunt Sister” Martin, age 89, of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at her home. Nelda was born on November 8, 1933 in Alabama to the late Theo Williams and the late Helen Large.
Nelda “Aunt Sister” is survived by her sister, Peggie (Rev. Donald) Jacobs; niece, Donna (Bennie) Lenz; nephew, Don (Jodie) Jacobs; and a Host of Great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Martin; mother, Helen Large; father, Theo “T.O.” Williams; son, Steven D. Martin; brothers, Dennis and Alton Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Don Jacobs officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
