Neal Levoyd Lovelace, age 73, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017. Visitation will be today, 11 a.m to 1 p.m., at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with John Bradshaw and Dr. Lee Allison officiating. Burial will be at Richardson Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Evan Austin, Larry Bowser, Roderick Guillen, Dennis Holden, Nela Lovelace, and Tony Springer.
Mr. Lovelace was a member of Florence First Church of the Nazarene but recently began attending St. James United Methodist Church with family. He was retired from TVA.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Linda Springer Lovelace.
Survivors include children, Vanessa Bowser (Larry), of Muscle Shoals, and Jessica Guillen (Roderick), of Birmingham; brother, Nela Lovelace, of Florence; and grandchildren, Evan Austin, Payton Bowser, Griffin Guillen, and Mabel Guillen.
Neal was the loving husband of Linda for 45 years and a devoted father to his two daughters. His witty sense of humor and love of debate will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association or The Shoals Scholar Dollars Program.
