Neal Johnston, 65, Sheffield, passed peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2022, at North Alabama Medical Center where he gave his final gift by being an organ donor. No services will be held at this time.
Neal was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Catholic Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Neal had the best sense of humor and always made people smile. He was an avid Alabama fan. Roll Tide!!! He was preceded in death by father, Thomas Johnston; brothers, Peter and Christopher Johnston; and father-in-law, Hollis Dixon.
Neal is survived by his loving wife of twenty-one years, Lisa Dixon Johnston; children, Simon Johnston (Kelli), Neal Johnston II (Lucia), and Lillian Kaleak; mother, Lilian Johnston; sister, Lynne E. Holland (Stephen); grandchildren, Skylar Johnston, Zak, Bella, Aeris, and Arwen Johnston, and Katelyn, Jeslie III, Andrew, and Jessa Kaleak; great-grandchild, Elijah Kaleak; mother-in-law, Raye Dixon; sisters-in-law, Karen Blomeyer and Connie Johnston; brother-in-law, Scott Dixon; nephew Keith Blomeyer; special friends, Jimmy and Lisa Hammond; a host of family and friends; and fur babies, Sophie, George, and Boo.
