Deacon Nathan Langford Deacon Nathan Langford of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on September 6, 2023. On his final day, he was surrounded by family, who adored him. Nathan Langford was born to Celia Harris and Frank Langford Sr, on February 5, 1952, in Madison, Alabama. He was a devoted Deacon and choir member of Big Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church. He retired after 23 years of service at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. He enjoyed cooking and never missed a chance to laugh and made the world a better place through the lives he touched.

Nathan fought his battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis over seven long years. Despite him spending much of that time in out of the doctor’s office, he never lost his sense of humor and continued to count his blessings and always made the best of what life had to offer. Throughout his entire journey, he remained faithful to his faith and church. He had a great ability to make others smile with his authenticity, honesty and will be missed.

Nathan is survived by his former wife Lana Langford and their children Tellus (Yolanda)Langford, Gerald (Jennifer) Dillard, Sherlen (Walter) Crawford, and Andria Langford (Myson Dease). He leaves behind five grandchildren Joshua (Lauren) Langford, Jaden Langford, Jamiya Hartsfield, Travion, and Walter Crawford. He is also survived by Uncles Robert (Barbara) Langford and Charlie (Mary) Langford and his brothers and sisters, Frank Langford Jr., Alex (Mary Jean) Langford, Genoa Heard, Emma Ferell and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the Big Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church (133 Maple Street, Madison, AL 35758) with Pastor Jeffery Jefferson officiating. Interment will be in the St. Ruth Cemetery. Deacon Langford will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 8, 2023, and 8:30 until 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the Royal Funeral Home.
