Nathan-Hendrix-1450529812Nathan Joel Hendrix, 43, departed this earth on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, to join his daddy and Heavenly Father. Visitation will be Sunday, December 20, 2015, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. J. J. Clanton and Rev. Jimmy Shields officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Nathan was a native of Cloverdale (Florence, AL), where he lived and worked every day of his life. Nathan was a loving and devoted son, daddy, brother, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his mother and children. He delighted in the Goodman family reunions at the family spring and in country living. He was employed by Oakley Enterprises, Florence.

He was preceded in death by his loving daddy, G. D. (Grover) Hendrix, Jr.; grandparents, Grover and Addie Montgomery Hendrix, Sr. and Boyd and Fannie Davis Goodman.

Nathan is survived by two children, Daughter Presley Nachell and Son Addison Joel Hendrix; Mother Movelean Goodman Hendrix; Girlfriend Tasha Box; Sister Myra Valente (Ralph); Brother Dennis Hendrix (Renee Ragan); Sister Melody Chilton (Steve); Nieces Heather Morgan and Chelsea Filyaw (Cody); Great Nephew Dakota Morgan; Great Niece Adia Morgan; and a host of family, friends, and co-workers.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Kinard, John Pounders, Ferlin Faires, B. J. Baskins, Wesley Smith, and Hunter Brown. Alternate pallbearers will be Steve Chilton, Bruce Conley, and Ralph Valente. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Whitten, Wayne Jerrolds, Dr. Allen Long, Charlie South, Gary Gilland and Dave Carter.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for memorials to go to any First Metro Bank, “Children of Nathan Hendrix Benefit Account.”
