TUPELO – The National Park Service released the 2022 Socioeconomic Research of Natchez Trace Parkway report. The report focuses on park visitors. It develops a deeper understanding of who visits the Parkway and what they do during their visit.

“The study helps us gain a greater understanding of who is visiting the Parkway and its neighboring communities,” said Superintendent Douglas Neighbor, “The information visitors share about their experience provides us with data to better service the American public.”

The results include information about trip characteristics and planning such as, activities, technology use, and accommodations. It, also, looks at visitor feedback on their overall experience and demographics. Download the report at go.nps.gov/parkwaySEM.

Natchez Trace Parkway was one of 24 national parks to take part in the 2022 study. To find out more about socioeconomic monitoring across the National Park Service visit https://www.nps.gov/subjects/socialscience/socioeconomic-monitoring.htm
