TUPELO – The section of Natchez Trace Parkway from Milepost 262 to 266 near Tupelo, MS is reopened on Thursday afternoon.  Drivers should be aware that there will be significant changes in traffic patterns in front of Parkway Visitor Center (mp 266) as the result of improved striping. One-lane closures may be utilized as the remaining road work is completed.

“This marks the completion of a project that started in July 2021, at Milepost 257,” said Chief of Maintenance Greg Smith, “Crews are working on the final touches of the project. Please slow down and watch for workers in the area.”
