Naomi Elizabeth Wood Graves – Obituary

NaomiNaomi Elizabeth Wood Graves was born December 12, 1922 in Chester County, TN the daughter of the late William Marcus and Virginia Mae Garner Wood. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1941 and later from West Tennessee Business College in 1943. She was united in marriage to Eugene Victor Graves on August 4, 1953. Mr. Graves preceded her in death on January 4, 2008. Mrs. Graves was an Accountant for Guinn Bro. Dodge Chrysler Plymouth, retiring in 2003. She was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church in Chester County. She was faithful to her church and family. She enjoyed traveling in her later years.

Mrs. Graves departed this life on August 2, 2013 in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 7 Months, 21 Days.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Graves) Doyle of Henderson, TN; a sister, Beautaun Essary (Wood) Marsh of Henderson, TN; a brother, W.D. Wood of Sebring, FL; two grandchildren, Bryan Doyle of New Orleans, LA, Christopher Doyle and wife Rebecca of Henderson, TN; a grt-grandchild, Addison Doyle of Henderson, TN; In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Graves was preceded in death by five sisters, Allene McKenzie, Maurine Crouse, Euda Hall, Ruthie Mae Wood, Gladys Hall, two brothers, Woodrow Wood, Curtis Wood.

Services will be held on Monday August 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Rev. Randy Hart and Rev. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow in the Henderson City Cemetery
