Nancy Sue Davis, 85, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Generations of Red Bay. She was born in Franklin County, AL to Thomas Husie and Lonie Humphries Johnston. She worked in garment manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services will be Thursday, May 4, 4:30 p.m. at Burnout Cemetery with Bro. Greg Thorn and Bro. Tim Harris officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her children, Timothy Ray Cross and Brenda Snider Hardin; her grandchildren, Marquita Blackburn, Jesse Snider, Anthony Cross, Julie Doss and Maggie Cross Dyer; great-grandchildren, Haley Gassaway, Justin Blackburn, Caleb Blackburn, Eli Doss, Addie Grace Cross and Tyler Cross; great-great grandchildren, Raleyana Gassaway and Grayson Gassaway; her sister, Marie LeMay; her brother, Billy Johnston and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Belton Johnston, Thurman Johnston, Lorene Hardin, Edith Ledbetter, Averine Ledbetter and Howard Johnston.
Pallbearers will be Danny Johnston, Belton Johnston, Jr., Benny Johnston, Curtis Johnston, Hugh Johnston and Nathan Johnston. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Hall, Tommy Johnston, Johnny LeMay and James Hardin.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 4, 3-4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
