Nancy Sabol Chase passed away on September 29, 2025, in Greensboro, NC. Nancy was born January 9, 1966, the eldest daughter of Beverly and Henry Chase. Her childhood in Chase, Alabama was filled with imagination, exploration and adventures. After graduating from Randolph School in 1984, she graduated from Wake Forest University in 1988.
While living in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, Nancy enjoyed a successful career in trust administration with Wachovia and Wells Fargo Private Bank, where her knowledge, quick wit and joyful spirit contributed to long-lasting friendships with colleagues and clients.
After retiring, Nancy treasured her time volunteering with Authora Care Collective hospice and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Nancy enjoyed traveling with her family, especially to the coast and to Harker’s Island, NC, where she embraced the peacefulness of nature and the limitless world of reading. Her kindness and gentleness touched so many lives, especially those of her family, friends, and neighbors.
Nancy was predeceased by her mother, Beverly Sabol Chase. She is survived by her father, Henry H. Chase, Jr.; sisters, Anna Chase (Mark) and Emily Rodgers (Robert); aunts, Donna Conte (Don) and Emily Cook (Charles); niece, Sabol Rodgers Butler (Alex); and nephew, Henry Homer Chase Rodgers.
Visitation will be at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home, 1118 North Elm Street, Greensboro NC on October 7, 2025, 4-6pm. Her funeral service will be held on October 9, 2025, at 10:30 am at Chapel of the Cross, 304 East Franklin Street, Chapel Hill NC.
