Nancy McDowell Morris, age 82, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026. She was born on October 3, 1943, in Elizabethtown, Indiana to the late John and Lula Day. Nancy attended Southside Baptist Church. She dedicated her life to the Lord. She was faithful to reading her bible, putting God first and she loved her family. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 86, David’s prayer to God. She also loved cats and gardening. When she was no longer able to tend to a garden, she still had plants she cared for.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James McDowell, Sr., Thomas Morris; daughters, Dorothy Patrick, Sandy Bolander; son, James McDowell, Jr.; sisters, Mary Lutricia Day Keller, Sarah Ellen Day Denney, Ruth Ann Day-Ferguson.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Johnny Patrick; grandchildren, Annika Bolander, Dorthy Marie Patrick, Brian Keith Patrick; great-grandchildren, Tristan Patrick, Luke Patrick, Renea Berry and a host of family and friends.
