Funeral service for Nancy Marie Majors Roberson, 79, of Athens, will be today at 4 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Cordell officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roberson died on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at her residence. She was born on May 15, 1933, in Huntsville to the late Ben and Ova Majors. She was a loving wife, mother, and lover of people.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Frank Roberson of Athens; three sons, James Whitener of Buffalo, N.Y., Ricky Whitener of Maryville, TN., and Charles Lee of Atlanta, GA.; two daughters, Teresa Maund and Cynthia Cordell both of Decatur; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
