Funeral for Nancy Lou Smith Beaty, 81, of Decatur, will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Beaty died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at Decatur Health and Rehab. She was born in Athens to Orville Daniel and Mattie Lou Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Beaty and her parents.
She is survived by a son, Daniel Beaty (Patricia), of Arley; and daughter, Cheryl Beaty (Michael) Bowen, of Decatur; six grandchildren, Derek Beaty, Paul Beaty, Heather Sheffield, Misty Randolph, Danielle Weaver, and Dustin Michael Bowen; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Derek Beaty, Paul Beaty, Trea Barnett, Aaron Barnett, Wesley Randolph, and Dustin Sheffield.
