In the late evening of September 4, 2022, Nancy Lee Boldog peacefully passed away after a three-year battle with cancer. She was attended to and comforted by her husband of 54 years, Alex Boldog, in Huntsville, Alabama. Nancy was 74 years old.
She was born on July 18, 1948, to Nolen “Bud” Lee and Mauline Hawkins Lee in Madison County, Alabama. She graduated from Madison County High School. Nancy and Alex lived all over the country due to Alex’s career with the U.S. Forest Service, but eventually settled in Andalusia, Alabama. In the last years of her life, Nancy and Alex split their time between Andalusia and Huntsville. Nancy had many close friends and neighbors whom she loved dearly. She was a member of her local garden club and active in The First Presbyterian Church in Andalusia for as long as she was able. Nancy most enjoyed spending time with her family. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren for whom she always found strength even as her health declined.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Alex Boldog; children, Sandor Boldog (Sandra), Ilona Reiker (Josh), and Aron Boldog (Heather); 10 grandchildren, Garrett Boldog, Dexter Boldog, Bryson Boldon, Téa Boldog, Norrah Boldog, Elias Boldog, Reagan Reiker, Elle Reiker, Emerson Boldog, and Patterson Boldog; sister, Patsy Green (Cecil); brother, Johnny Lee (Lela); aunt, Marvoline Lee and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Lee and Linda Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Melvin Lee and Donna Lee; and brothers, Billy Lee, Bobby Lee, and Tommy Lee.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church, Huntsville, with the Rev. Brett Gudeman officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
