Nancy Jean Elkins Brock of Jasper passed away at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born to Austin and Pansy Elkins on March 27, 1950. She married her high school sweetheart, Daniel Brock in 1969. They could finish each others sentences. They loved to travel and see new things together. She was deeply loved.
They have two daughters, Melanie Brock of Jasper and Heather Simmons and her husband Robert Simmons of Tuscaloosa.
Nancy was known as Amma to her three grandchildren, Gavin Brock of Jasper, Victoria (Tori) Brock of Arab and Christopher Simmons of Vance.
She is survived by one brother and four sisters, Clarence Elkins, Barbara Robinson, Virginia Elouise Burnett, Janice Blanton and Earnestine Maxwell; many, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Siblings, Jerry Elkins and his wife April, Emmett Elkins and Lanell Elkins; Sister-in-law, Amelia Elkins; Brothers-in-law-Clarence Robinson and Jerry Burnett.
Special thanks to Genitive Hospice and Centerwell Home Health who provided excellent care & support for the family.
We will miss her everyday.
Memorial services will be Sunday, June 15, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel.
