Nancy Jane “Janie” Estes, age 48, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Sunday, April 07, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center.
Janie was always a protector, trying to protect her sisters and her sons. She was never judgmental, but always looking for the good in people. She was a good mother and was very proud of her sons and that they turned out to be good people. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Ricky Simpson and Stephen Simpson; sisters, Carol Estes and Lovena Lee; father of her children, Larry Simpson; and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Estes; and mother, Nancy Mitchell Mann.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the many friends and family who have helped us out during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
