Nancy BraceyOn Tuesday, March 16, 2021, Nancy Jackson Bracey, loving Mother and Nana peacefully passed away in College Station, TX at the age of 68.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 27th at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier with Bro. Kent Evetts Officiating. The family will receive friends 10am to 11am at the funeral home on Saturday. Inurnment will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery.

Nancy was born on May 31, 1952 in Dallas, TX to Elbert Jackson and Betty Baker. On June 7, 1969 she married her soulmate, Stephen Walker Bracey, they raised 3 children.

In retirement, Nancy enjoyed antiquing and spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren. She lived her life to the fullest, one of her favorite pastimes was sailing the islands with her dad and stopping to bury her toes in the sand. She was a firecracker, high spirited, fiercely independent and strong in her Faith. She was passionate in all aspects of her life, loved to laugh and was a fierce advocate for the underdog. She served on the Board for both TXAMI (Texas Alliance for the Mentally Ill) and NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) as Vice President and Secretary respectively.

Nancy was preceded in death by the love of her life, Steve. She is survived by her three children, Shannon Regan, Christopher Bracey and Jennifer Rushing, their spouses, Justin Regan, Kaitlyn Bracey and Price Rushing and seven grandchildren, Cain, Mikayla, Jillian, Drew, Lily, Shane and Piper.
