Nancy Glidewell of Prospect went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18, 2025. Nancy, a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church of Prospect, was preceded in death by her husband James F. Glidewell who served his Country as a World War II Air Force Pilot and Prisoner of War.
Nancy had a rare blood type, therefore she was an avid blood donor. She was dedicated to this cause, as she would always say, “the babies need my blood.” Woodcrafting was one of her many talents and her witty personality became visual thru her Dolls, Clowns and Animals that she produced using her own patterns. Nancy’s production of these popular characters were featured in News Paper articles, shown at Craft Shows and many times she would give her profit or the Characters away. Nancy was an animal lover and all the animals loved Nancy. She is Survived by her son George and wife Sandra Glidewell of Shepherdsville, KY and Daughter Dottie Walker of Jackson, TN. Close Friends: Geneva Wilburn, Carol Ferguson, Betty Pope and many others including her Liberty United Methodist Church Family and also her Church Family from House on The Rock, Pulaski.
A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date at Liberty United Methodist Church and burial at the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, AL.
Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements for Nancy Glidewell.
