Nancy Elrod, 75 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Elrod was born on February 11th, 1947, to James E. and Vera Worley Lewter.
Mrs. Elrod is survived by her husband of 57 years, Tommy Elrod; daughters Tina Grillo, of Athens, and Amanda Seabolt (Billy), of Elkmont; grandchildren T.C. Hargrove (Brianna), of Athens, Zach Hargrove (Hannah), of Athens, John Seabolt, of Elkmont, and Will Seabolt, of Elkmont; step-grandchildren Mike, Desiree, Samantha, Andy, Greg, and Brianna; several step-great-grandchildren; sisters Pauline Brady , of Elkmont, Fay Burns (Jerry) of Lynnville, TN, and Annie Clifton (Jerry) or Toney; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; brothers David Lewter and William Lewter; sisters Willa Mae Wilson and Frieda Wallace; and son-in-law Mike Grillo.
Funeral services for Mrs. Elrod will be Friday, June 3rd, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Matt Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 2nd, from 6:00-9:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Reunion Cemetery.
Mrs. Elrod was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and flowers. She dearly loved her grandkids and taking care of her family.
