Ms. Nancy E. Creasy GreenwayMrs. Nancy Ella Creasy Greenway was born September 5, 1943 in Lexington, TN to the late C. B. and Velma Wille Stout Goff Creasy, known to all as simply “Granny”.
Granny was a hard worker and involved in everything from The Business and Professional Women (BPW), Altruistic Club, and the American Heart Association to running booths at the fair or selling pecans every chance she got. Her passion was her hallmark. She was dedicated to her clubs and served as president in many of those. She worked many jobs over her life, beginning with her family at Creasy’s Honda and often going on Locksmith calls with her parents. While working at Creasy’s Honda, she began her career at Union Planters Bank (now Regions), where she was “Teller of the Year”. After that, she started hosting at the Grecian and later at Wendy’s, where she always enjoyed greeting people. She made many friends, but none to compare with Princella. Granny and her life-long best friend, Princella, would take road trips all over hunting for the coveted ornaments. From conventions to stores going out of business, they were always ready to take off on the hunt. They would “keep the roads hot” and their families often joked and called them “Thelma & Louise”.
Granny was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in her younger years and later on began attending Stringtown Pentecostal Church. Most recently she attended the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ with her adopted daughter and friend, Cindy Page.
Granny was preceded in death by her parents; her only child, Jacqueline Bradford; her two brothers, Jimmy and Bobby Creasy; and her best friend, Princella Buck.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Kristen James (Terry); her grandsons, Nicholas Bradford (Renee), Jesse, and David Bradford (Grace); her great grandchildren, Amber James, Benjamin James (Makayla), and Theodore Bradford; her great-great grandchildren, Dyllan and Katie Belle Blackburn; a host of nieces and nephews; and way to many friend to count. Granny was loved by all that knew her. Her passing has left an emptiness, but we all know she is reunited and rejoicing with her family in heaven.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Monday, April 13, 2026 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, 2-8 PM and on Monday 10 AM – 2 PM.
