Nancy D. Roberts, age 69 of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on July 23, 1952, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late George Dallas and Pauline Nettie (Campbell) Spurgeon. Nancy was known by those she loved as Babe. She enjoyed preparing wonderful meals for her family and taking care of her grandchildren. She was feisty and loved making everyone laugh. In her spare time, you could find her watching her favorite reality shows. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Norma Brown, Burrel Spurgeon, Kenneth Spurgeon, and Billy Spurgeon. Nancy is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Donald “Don” Roberts of Huntsville; children, Carlos Turner of Huntsville, Justin (Holly) Roberts of Irvington, Donna Roberts of Huntsville, Wayne (Tammy) Roberts of Huntsville and Jeremy (Natalie) Roberts of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Cody Turner, Aaron Turner, Beth Turner, Tyler Roberts, Hunter “Trey” Potts, Seliah Treece, Jace Rhinehart, Lauren (Charlie) Laferrera, Braden Roberts, Beka Roberts and Madeline Roberts; three great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers – in – law, Ray Brown, Carolyn Spurgeon, Dorothy Spurgeon, Ann (Dan) Syler and Doug (Kathy) Roberts; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Nancy will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 11:00am from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
