Mrs. Nancy Carolyn George, age 77 of Athens, AL passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at her home. Mrs. George was born on March 31, 1941 in Limestone County to Leo Sanderson and Maureen Vickers Sanderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janie Meherg.
Mrs. George is survived by her husband, Hollis George; sons, Shane George and wife Denise of Priceville, AL and Jason George and wife Elisha of Madison, AL; grandson, Bo George; sisters, Marie Embry (Dallas)and Kathy Day (Jeff) and brother, Thomas Sanderson (Patty).
Services for Mrs. George will be at 3:00PM Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Central Church of Christ with Adam Brewer officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Heath Embry, Thad Embry, Keith Sanderson, Jackson Day, Reggie Sanderson and Kane Day.
