Nancy Carmen DeButy, 62, of Hartselle, passed away March 15, 2016, at her home after a 10-month battle with cancer.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 -8:00 P.M. Thursday at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle. A funeral mass will take place Friday, March 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church in Decatur with Father Ray Remke officiating and Peck Funeral Home Directing.
Carmen was born May 14, 1953 in Decatur to Joe Hill and Jimmie Ruth Powell Hill. She grew up in El Paso, Texas, where she graduated from high school and studied mathematics at the University of Texas at El Paso. She was a broker for MarMac Real Estate in Hartselle.
She is survived by her son, Charlie (wife, Lucy); daughter, Stephanie (husband, Paul); mother, Jimmie Ruth; several siblings; and four grandchildren, Gracie DeButy, Abe Reitmeier, Eli Reitmeier and Katherine Reitmeier.
She was preceded in death by her father.
