Nadene Bartlett – Obituary

Mrs. Nadene Bartlett, age 92, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2015, at her home, River City Health and Rehab.
She was born in Huntsville on May 25, 1922, to Paskel and Ethel Stevenson Brown. She has been a member of Central Baptist Church for 60-plus years. Mrs. Bartlett retired from Decatur General Hospital business office and was an avid bowler for many years, bowling on several leagues and holding many offices in the Decatur Women’s League.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Bartlett and would have celebrated 64 years on Wednesday, March 25; two brothers, Leo and James Wright, and two sisters, Leta Collins and Irma Swango.
Mrs. Bartlett is survived by two children, Susan Overall and Mark Bartlett (JoMarie); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
Services will be Monday, March 23, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Roselawn Chapel with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of River City Health and Rehab and Hospice of the Valley for their wonderful care.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the Central Baptist building fund or Hospice of the Valley.
