MOBILE-The NAACP Alabama State Conference will host its 2026 Bridge Crossing Gala
on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Conference Center and
Hotel in Montgomery. The gala will serve as the premier opening event of the weekend
commemorating the anniversary of Bloody Sunday and the historic Selma-to-Montgomery
Voting Rights March. The Bridge Crossing Gala brings together civil rights leaders, elected
officials, community partners, and supporters from across Alabama and the nation. The evening
will feature distinguished guests, special tributes, and moments connecting the Civil Rights
Movement to today’s ongoing fight for justice.

“A Time for Standing,” is the evening’s theme that honors the courage of the 1965 marchers and
calls on today’s leaders and communities to continue defending voting rights, democracy, and
equality. Hosting the gala in Montgomery—the was marchers’ destination—recognizes the
purpose and power of that historic journey. “This is a significant occasion for standing in
remembrance, gratitude, and on business—because the work is not finished.”, said Ronald Ali,
President of the NAACP Alabama State Conference.
The NAACP Alabama State Conference is currently seeking corporate sponsors, community
partners, and individual supporters. Table sponsorships for ten guests begin at $1,500 and
individual tickets are $125. Details and tickets: https://alnaacp.org/bridge-crossing-gala
