Myrtle Owdia Rhodes Smith, 92, of Town Creek, AL, died on February 14, 2013 at Briarhill Rest Home in Florence, MS. Born on August 12, 1920 in New Albany, MS, she is preceded by her parents; Clarence Burr Rhodes and Mallie Ruth Horton and her late husband of 49 years; Haskell Oscar Smith of Town Creek.
Owdia was a homemaker and resided in Town Creek until 2006 when she moved to Florence, MS to be closer to her family.
Services will be held at Jackson Memory Funeral Home in Town Creek on Saturday, February 16th. at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Blackground Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home.
Survivors includes one son; Thomas David Smith and his wife Connie of Florence, MS and two grandchildren; Lislie OleviaSmith Malick and Brian Jarred Smith both of Jacksonville, FL.
