Myrtle Odell Kerr,81, passed away Monday May 17th,2021. She was born in Massey, Alabama where she graduated high school, and then received her Bachelors Degree from Athens State University. She worked 35 years for the Department of Defense at Redstone Arsenal.
Odell was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church where she loved being a member of The Friendship Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years William Wayne Kerr, mother Inez Holladay Owens , father Ilie Holladay and brother Carmen Holladay.
She is survived by children William Wayne Kerr Jr, Karen (Mark) Hardy, Ken (Martha) Kerr, Lisa Zapalac, Philip (Sue) Lacrone. Grandchildren Nikki (Geoff) Saxman, Ryan Hardy, Lynne (James) Nunally, David Hardy, Heather (Zach) Jansen, Micah Lacrone, Tiffany Kerr, Tori Zapalac, Zach (Courtney) Zapalac, Loren Hardy, Jenna Hardy and Allen Zapalac. Great grandchildren, Luke Jansen, Elijah Mullins, Mackenzie Jansen and Alice Saxman. Siblings, Ina Hucks, Carl (Pat) Holladay, Joel (Brenda) Holladay, Johnny (Phyllis) Holladay and Charles Holladay.
Visitation will be held at Laughlin Service Funeral Home Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 from 10:00-12:00 followed by the service at 12:00 with Pastors Todd Noren-Hentz and Tim Barnes officiating. Burial will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
