Mrs. Myrtle J. Whitten Thompson, 84, of Florence passed away on December 04, 2015 at Glenwood Nursing and Rehab Center. She was a member of East Florence Church of Christ.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 06, 2015 at Greenview Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Shawn Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Thompson; parents, Myrtle and Early Whitten and her brother, Edward Whitten.
Survivors include her stepsons, Jimmy, Jerry and John Thompson; daughter, Tammy Renee Moore; stepdaughter, Judy Thompson (Mike); brother, Ernest Whitten, sisters, Grace Gautney and Bessie Mae England; grandchildren, Julie Greenhaw (Chad), Craig Thompson (Shea) , Kenya Woodis (Doug), Josh Thompson, Jessica Smith (Jay), Ryan Moore and Jonathan Parker and 6 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
