Myrtle Bunn French – Obituary

Funeral for Myrtle Bunn French, 90, of Decatur will be Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Pilkington officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. French died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born October 27, 1923, in Giles County, Tennessee, to Thomas Bunn and Betty Tucker Bunn. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Leon French; and one son, Dwight Douglas French.

Survivors include two sons, Melvin Leon French and James Edward French, both of Decatur; one daughter, Mary French Nelms of Decatur; one sister, Lucille Stover of Decatur; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Melvin French, Michael Leon French, David Nelms, Jimmy French, John French and Jessie French.
