Myra Mae Sterling, 77, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
She was born on Tuesday, April 6,1948, in Athens, Alabama to the to the late Mr. Ben Hopper Jones and Mrs. Lila Grace Newby Jones.
She lived all her life in the Ardmore area. Myra was member of Ardmore Church of Christ.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, as well as working in her yard and flowerbed.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, one sister; Lou Nell Adams, four brothers: Morris Jones, Robert Jones, Wayne Jones and Freddie Jones.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jerry Wayne Sterling, one son; Ben (Tabatha) Sterling, one daughter; Christy (Erik) Jones, three sisters, her twin sister Faye Stanford, Jeanette Tyler and Linda Eckstein, four Grandchildren: Taylor (Cody Smith) Jones, Natalee Jones, Christopher Sterling, and Colten Sterling, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Sylone Cemetery in Elkmont, Alabama, beginning at 12:30 PM with Bro. Matthew Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Sylone Cemetery, located in Elkmont, Alabama.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
