Myra Jo King Messer, 83 of Dora, passed away Saturday October 9, 2021.
She was retired from Sumiton Elementary/Middle School, a job she loved, and where she left a positive influence on the lives of many children. She also worked for many years for Fred Browning CPA.
Graveside services and interment will be Thursday Oct. 14, 2021 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Methodist Cemetery 6094 County Rd. 19 Piedmont, AL 36272. Visitation is Wednesday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Aaron Messer; parents, Arthur Eugene and Lala Bradley King and siblings, Doris Fuqua, Mildred Vaughn and Jimmy Ray King.
Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Messer Bailey (Raymond Lee) and Becky Messer Clark (Eric); a very, very special grandson, Aaron Lee Bailey; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and her sweet dog Patches.
