Myra Jean Miller Johnson, age 92 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 8, 1929, in Haileyville, Oklahoma to the late John Spraggins and Beulah Jane (Robinson) Miller with family roots in Sherwood. A dedicated homemaker, Myra loved caring for her family and hosting events for friends and family. She was very artistic and loved painting, music, reading as well as experiencing international cultures through her extensive travels worldwide. She was a fifty-year member of Trinity Episcopal Church and currently worshiped at Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church. As well, she was active in numerous civic organizations and charities. Myra will be remembered as a gracious, kind and beautiful lady, known for the unconditional love she gave to so many. In addition to her parents, Myra was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Gerald Eugene Johnson; and siblings, Thomas Miller, Ralph Miller, Edith Mitchell, and Richard Miller. Myra is survived by her loving children, Mark (Donna) Johnson of New Bern, North Carolina, Bryan Johnson (Kathy Weaver) of Winchester, Kurt (Penny) Johnson of Belvidere, and Erik (Betsy) Johnson of Brentwood; grandchildren, Alexandra (Ross) Bradley, Winton Johnson, Leah (Dan) Frere, Lauren (Josh) Keeton, Nicole (Randall) King, Aaron Johnson, and Luke (Alex) Johnson; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Dr. Rev. Michael Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Haven of Hope in Tullahoma.
