Myra Jean Garrie age 82, of Sheffield, died Thursday, February 7, 2013. Visitation will be Saturday, February 9, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Spry~Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be Sunday, February 10, at 2:00 pm at Cox Boulevard Church of Church in Sheffield with Brother Larry Kilpatrick and Steve Harrison officiating. She will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Sheffield Oakwood. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. She was a member of Cox Boulevard Church of Christ. Preceded her in death were her husband, Abraham Garrie; Mother, Ida Belle Waddell; Sister, Mabeline Posey; Brothers, James Waddell and Elree Waddell; Granddaughter, Amber Cornelius; Great-Grandson, Jonathan Aday. Survivors are her children, Linda Brackin, Johnny Garrie (Shelby), Janice Burbank, Daniel Garrie (Donna), Peggy Garrie, Susan Phillips, Brenda Harrison (Steve), and Kathy Burcham; Brother, Nathaniel Waddell; Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
