Funeral services for Myra Jan Powell, 64, of Birmingham and Nashville, TN, will be held on Wednesday July 30, 2014, at Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at noon. A private interment, for family only, will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Ms. Powell, who died Sunday, July 27, 2014, at her residence in Franklin, TN, was born in Morgan County on November 4th, 1949, to Robert “Bob” Jordan Powell and Annie Case Powell. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert “Bob” Jordan Powell Sr.
She is survived by one daughter, Kelley Davis Descher (Eric) of Brentwood, TN; one son, James William Davis III (Candace) of Orange Beach; her mother, Annie Case Powell of Birmingham; one sister, Deborah Powell Odom of Trussville; two brothers, Robert Jordan Powell Jr. of Lilburn, GA and Joseph Emerson Powell of Foley; and six grandchildren, Joshua Davis Descher, Katheryn Elizabeth Descher, Austin James Davis, Emmercyn Leigh Descher, Alexandra Claire Davis and Addison Marie Davis.
Special family, Trey Patterson (Bridgette), Bryce Patterson, Collin Patterson, McKenna Patterson, Shane Patterson, and a host of extended family and great friends, as well as two special pets, Tramp and Sadie.
Pallbearers for the ceremony are Rob Powell, James Handley, Darrell Reaves, Rex Crawford, Trey Patterson and David Wilmont.
Honorary pallbearers are Terry Goodwin and Tommy Devine.
