Myra Ann Milam – Obituary

Myra Ann Milam, 76 of Sheffield, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, January 1, 2016. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brad Bates officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.

Mrs. Milam was a native of Rhodesville, Alabama and a member of the Salvation Army Church. She was the “Avon Lady” for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph M. Milam; parents, Tom and Pearl Pruitt; brother, J.P. Pruitt; and sister, Lois Baird.

Mrs. Milam is survived by her daughter, Ellen Milam Aday and husband, Bobby L. Aday Jr.; step-daughter, Lisa Means Hargett; brother, Bobby Pruitt; sister, Mary Ellen Luffman; and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews . She also leaves behind many best friends and children she claimed as her own.

Pallbearers are Kelly Carter, Larry Carter, Ed Taliaferro, Jeremy Kennedy, David Pendley, and Brad Bates.

The family expresses special thanks to Hospice of the Shoals, especially Lisa Cobb.
