Myong Suk Stockbridge, 83, went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2026, at 12:12 pm. She was born in Munkdoek-ri, Cheonan, Chungcheongdo province, South Korea, to parents, Kim Ki Nam and Nam Yu Oh. She moved to Seoul as a young adult to become a beautician and opened her own salon. She married in 1969 and immigrated to the United States in 1970 with her new family where she became a naturalized citizen in 1972. After almost two decades as a military spouse, with a home base in Center Ossipee, New Hampshire, the family settled in Huntsville, Alabama. She called Madison County home since 1986, raising two children, her son, Stephen and daughter, Christine. She eventually retired from Sanmina-SCI after many years. Myong was a beloved mother and grandmother, as well as Christian sister. Her biggest love of all was her family, pouring her love into her children and grandchildren, sharing Korean culture, traditions and stories of her home country. She was active at her church, Korean First Baptist Church, and especially liked to tend to her garden and cook her native Korean cuisine.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and former spouse, Dennis Stockbridge. She is survived by her son, Stephen and his wife, Amanda, of Baja Mexico; her daughter, Christine and her husband, Daniel Mann of Madison County; and grandchildren, Courtney Lynn Klotz and her husband, Jacob of North Little Rock, Arkansas; Madison Paige Stockbridge, also of Little Rock, Arkansas; Scott Albert Mann and Sarah Elizabeth Mann, both of Huntsville; and great-grandchildren, Eleanor Eileen Klotz and Penelope Rose Klotz of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Berryhill Funeral Home is in charge of cremation. A memorial service will be held at Korean First Baptist Church on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
