Murray Warren was born December 22, 1925 in Brampton, Ontario, Canada to Mary and Frank Warren. He was the oldest boy of thirteen children and he grew up in the backwoods/bush of Northern Ontario.
Mr. Warren came to the USA in 1946 to attend Harding College in Searcy, AR, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in Bible. He went on to complete two master’s degrees at Harding Graduate School in Memphis. He then worked on a doctorate degree in counseling at New Orleans Baptist Seminary, where he studied family counseling.
In New Orleans, he met and married Iris Barrow Warren, his wife of 48 years . He is also survived by three children, Buddy Warren, Bonnie Wiebers, Lake Ozark, MO and Teddy(Tarrin) Warren of Milano, TX.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rose Miller, Dorothy Collier, and Betty Warren; two brothers, Jim Warren and Aubrey (Betty) Warren, all from Ontario. He is preceded in death by two daughters, Connie Beth Warren and April Warren Page; three sisters, and four brothers.
He was a Church of Christ preacher for over 60 years and a licensed professional counselor in Alabama. He enjoyed singing in choruses and especially barbershop music. He was an avid deer hunter.
