ATHENS-On the night of August 8, 2025, the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office was alerted by the Giles County (TN) Sheriff’s Office of a vehicle pursuit entering Alabama. Limestone County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with the Ardmore Police Department, intercepted the suspect as he crossed the state line.
The driver, later identified as Jason Rose, was operating a 3500 dually pickup truck and continued fleeing southbound on I-65, discarding items from his vehicle during the pursuit. Law enforcement successfully deployed spike strips multiple times in Limestone and Morgan Counties, ultimately ending the chase just south of the I-65 bridge in Priceville. Rose was taken into custody without further incident.

Following the arrest, Limestone County Deputies returned to the location where Rose was seen throwing objects from his vehicle. Approximately one-quarter pound of methamphetamine was recovered. Additional evidence was seized from inside the vehicle.
Rose is charged with:
* Trafficking Methamphetamine
* Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – LSD
* Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, 2nd Degree
* Possession of a Pistol by a Violent Felon
* Attempting to Elude – Felony
* Tampering with Evidence
* Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Rose remains in the Limestone County Detention Facility awaiting a bond hearing. At the time of this incident, he was already out on bond for unrelated charges.
