Mr. Jackie Lee “Jack” Jones
Memorial service for Jack Jones, age 83, of Decatur, will be Tuesday, December 31, 2013, 3:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.
Mr. Jones, who died Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born May 28, 1930, in Corbin, KY to Evy Jones and Trula McNabb Jones. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and worked for General Electric as facilities manager.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carrie O. Jones of Decatur; two sons, Stephen Jones and wife, Paige, of Lynchburg, TN, and Jeffrey Jones and partner, Mike Boykin, of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Lisa Andersen and husband, Pete, of Alpharetta, GA; two brothers, Bob Jones of Atlanta, GA, and Gary Jones of St. Louis, MO; and eight grandchildren.
