Mr. J.B. Blanton, 77, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2013.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, with service to follow in Colbert Memorial Funeral Home chapel at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Jack Coons and the Rev. Linda Vickers will be officiating.
Mr. Blanton was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William and Lorean Blanton, and grandson, Randy Blanton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mrs. Bonnie Blanton; son, Jay Blanton Jr. (Peggy); daughter, Kimberly Bishop (William); brother, William Harold Blanton (Anneattea); four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
