ATHENS-ALEA (Alabama Law Enforcement Agency) report a fatality crash of a motorcycle on Saturday night around 10:30 PM two miles north of Athens on Elkton Road.
The name of the victim has been release. State Troopers identify the driver as Axel Thomas Mayer, 22 of Athens.
According to Troopers Mayer was wearing a helmet and the crash is still under investigation.
ALEA Officials say that the motorcycle crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Elkton Road, two miles north of Athens, near B & S Grocery store.
