MADISON COUNTY-The Madison County Sheriff’s Department issued a press release concerning the shooting earlier in the month that result in eleven gun shot victims. They have made other arrests in the case including one with a charge of murder.

On January 7, 2023, at approximately 11:30 PM, Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Hwy. 72 near Ryland Pike of a report of a shooting.
The shooting resulted in eleven gunshot victims, two of which died on the scene.
Over the last few days, Sheriff’s investigators have arrested 3 juveniles in addition to the 2 adults who were arrested earlier in the week. One juvenile has been charged with Murder and the other 2 have been charged with gun-related charges. All three juveniles are 16 years old.
MCSO investigators continue to work tirelessly to try and gather information and identify everyone responsible. More arrests are expected and anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (256)722-7181. ~ Madison County Sheriff”
