DECATUR-The Decatur Police have completed a narcotics investigation spanning the last several months. Here is what the Decatur Police have to say about the arrest of one suspect:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
During the previous several months Investigators with the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit initiated a narcotics investigation focused on a male identified as Tony Franklin Parker. Investigators discovered that Parker distributed large amounts of controlled prescription medication during the time frame.
On May 19, 2015 Investigators arrived at 1410 Modaus Rd SW concerning pending charges of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance for Parker. Officers located Parker at the residence and subsequently executed a search warrant. Parker was found to be in possession of quantities of three different types of controlled medications and drug use paraphernalia. The Investigators seized the narcotics and paraphernalia along with a quantity of US currency and three loaded handguns. Parker was arrested and transported to the Decatur City Jail.
Parker was charged with two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Pistol, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Parker will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $68,000.00 bond in which $50,000.00 is required in cash. A $50,000.00 cash bond was requested for the charge Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Pistol due to Parker’s extensive multi-state violent crime history.”
