Monroe Jackson Flanagan, age 89, of Paint Rock, Alabama passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at a local hospital. Mr. Flanagan was born in Paint Rock Alabama to William Thomas and Hattie Flanagan. He served our country in both the United States Army and the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents William Thomas Flanagan Sr. and Hattie Clemons Flanagan. Mr. Flanagan is survived by his special friend Lynne Beth Derrick; daughter Kathleen Lodestein; his 103 year old sister Harriett Kirkpatrick; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family has not planned any serviced at this time.
