Mrs. Mona Sue Yancey Rutherford PridmoreMrs. Mona Sue Yancey Rutherford Pridmore, age 86 of Arab, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mrs. Pridmore was born on March 31, 1933 to Jack Yancey and Mary Lou Bowling Yancey. She worked in procurement at Redstone Arsenal. She loved the outdoors, embroidering, quilting and was always tinkering and fixing things. Mona loved researching her family ancestry.
She was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church in the Union Hill Community of Morgan County.
Mrs. Pridmore is survived by her son, David Dewoyn Pridmore (Jennifer); daughters, Barbara Rutherford Huff (Frank), Dianna Rose Rutherford; step son, Johnny Pridmore; grandchildren, Jason W. Edmonds, Jeffery O. Huff, Gregory A. Huff, Erica Huff Lance; step grandchildren, Hunter, Tanner, Jacob; great grandchildren, Drake Huff, Nikolas Huff, Gavin Parrish, Kinley Huff, Emberli Jade Lance, Jace Lee Lance, Maddox Welch Edmonds; brothers, Jackie Yancey, Terry Yancey (Cheryl), Randy Yancey (Judy); sisters, Marie Jean, Debora Kay Burke (Wayne). Preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary Lou Bowling Yancey; husband, Thomas Pridmore; brothers, Gene Yancey, Robert “Bobby” Yancey, Tony Yancey, Albert “Wayne” Yancey; sisters, Nell Johnson, Joan Overstreet Williams.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2019 at Brindlee Mtn Chapel Funeral Home, Morgan City with Bro. Eldridge Criscoe, officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery with Brindlee Mtn Chapel Funeral Home and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will include: Frank Huff, Jeffery Huff, Gregory Huff, Jason Edmonds, Hunter Lacey & Tanner Lacey.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2019 at Brindlee Mtn Chapel Funeral Home.
