Molly F.Hayes Feldschneider – Obituary

Molly F. Hayes Feldschneider, of Jackson, Wis., formerly of the Cherokee, Alabama area, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at her residence at the age of 87 years. She was born on September 29, 1925 in Margerum, Ala., to the late William and Kate Grischam Hayes.

Molly attended local schools in Cherokee, graduating from Cherokee High School. She then came to Wisconsin to visit one of her sisters, and has since made Wisconsin her home.

During World War II, she worked at the former Waukesha Motors. While employed there, she played baseball with the Waukesha Motetts, a women’s professional baseball team. She then worked at a telephone operator at AT&T for many years.

On March 29, 1946, she was united in marriage to Richard G. Feldschneider. Richard predeceased March 13, 1994.

She enjoyed traveling, visiting the Holy Land 3 times.

Survivors include 2 children Linda Lauersdorf (Wallace) of Cherokee, Ala. and Richard Feldschneider II (Christine), of Jackson, Wis.; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Paul Hayes (Ann), of Cherokee, Ala.; nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 grandson Tim Lauersdorf, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

There will be a visitation at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee, AL on Monday, October 8, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with services to follow. Burial will be in Margerum Cemetery following the chapel service.

The family has requested memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project or Jesus Cares Ministry.
