Mollie Sparks Nichols – Obituary

Mollie Sparks Nichols was born on December 7, 1947, in Hardin County to the late John & Lizzie Bumpus Sparks. Mollie was preceded in death by four brothers: John, Tommy, Sammy, and Forace; two sisters: Dona Sparks Casey and Gladys Sparks.

At an early age, Mollie attended Love Tabernacle COGIC and later joined St. Mark M.B. Church.

Mollie graduated from Dunbar High School.

Mollie was a Supervisor at Brown Shoe Company for several years and a Quality Control Advisor for Angelica Uniforms Group for 17 years. She was the Secretary of Sunday School and Financial Secretary for the Fundraising Committee at St. Mark M.B. Church. Mollie was also selected Vice President of the Tennessee River Missionary Baptist District Association of January 2009.

Mollie transitioned her earthly life to be present with her heavenly Father on September 28, 2012, at her home. She leaves to mourn her transition: one daughter, Cherryl Sparks Lewis – Columbus, GA; one son, James Sparks (Wendy) – Savannah, TN; five grandchildren, James, Bailee, Jada, Lexi, Sadi; one great-grandson, Landon James; two brothers, C.B. and William Sparks (Shirley) – Savannah, TN; one aunt; devoted family and friends, Melissa Bumphus, Irish Fry, Mary Harris, Shelia Lusk, Daphne McDaniel, Carolyn Sparks, Shirley Sparks, and Wendy Vanhoose; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
