found. The body of Carrithers was found in Morgan County and a suspect has been charged with murder in this case.
At a news conference on Tuesday, investigators said Mary Carrithers’ body was found in a wooded area off Highway 231 in Morgan County.
As the investigation went forward, deputies dug up the yard at the home Mary Carrithers shared with her husband, Charles, 309 Hill Road in Owens Cross Roads. This had been the last known place Carrithers was seen alive.
Charles Carrithers has been arrested and charged with murder in Mary’s death. He has been booked into the Metro Jail on $750,000 bond.
