LAUDERDALE COUNTY-Lauderdale County Sheriff Joe Hamilton released a statement on Friday concerning a missing person who had been reported missing near a residence on Waters Edge Drive off of County County Road 94 on Thursday, June 11. The person was identified as Tennessee resident, Marcus DeWeese.
“At approximately 1:48 p.m. on Friday, June 12, divers entered the water after reviewing a sonar image and were able to recover the body of Marcus DeWeese. He was located near the area where he was last seen.
At this time, no foul play is suspected. The incident appears to be an accidental drowning.
